Private Shuttle from SJD Airport to Montage Los Cabos

Montage Los Cabos opened in 2018 as the brand's first international resort, anchored by a sprawling beachfront layout on Santa Maria Bay — a protected cove just east of Cabo San Lucas. The 122 guestrooms and 52 private residences cover 39 acres, with five restaurants, three pools, a 40,000-square-foot spa, and direct access to one of the best snorkel beaches in Baja California Sur.

Santa Maria Bay itself is a protected marine area. The bay's reef formation produces calm, clear water on most days of the year, making it the destination of choice for honeymooners, families with young children, and divers.

From SJD Airport, the route is straightforward: Mexico Federal Highway 1 west along the Tourist Corridor. Montage Los Cabos is at kilometer 12.5, on the ocean side, between Chileno Bay and downtown Cabo San Lucas. Total distance is 17 miles (27 km) and the drive takes 25 minutes in normal traffic.

Toll-free route. The Tourist Corridor stretch between SJD and Cabo San Lucas has no toll booths, but our published rate covers any tolls if your itinerary involves an alternate routing. The price at booking is final.

For arrivals after dark, the corridor highway is well-lit between SJD and Santa Maria Bay, and our drivers know the well-marked Montage gate. Late-night arrivals (after 10:00 PM) do not carry a premium — our flat $85 rate applies regardless of arrival time, weekday, or season.

The $85 USD published rate for SJD-to-Montage includes a Cadillac Escalade or Chevrolet Suburban (up to 6 passengers), your bilingual chauffeur, all applicable tolls, the 16% Mexican IVA tax, the driver gratuity, real-time flight tracking, and bottled water on board. For groups of 7-14, the same route in a Mercedes Sprinter is $115 USD. For 12-15 passengers, the Toyota Hiace is $129 USD.

Optional add-ons (all locked at booking, never surcharged at the gate): child car seats free; grocery stop in San José or Cabo San Lucas free; pre-stocked beer or sparkling water cooler $25 USD flat; champagne service $45 USD with 48-hour notice. We do not charge a peak-season premium for Christmas, New Year, Easter, or any other date.

For wedding caravans to Montage, we coordinate multi-vehicle pickups from SJD or from other corridor hotels, with the same bilingual logistics team coordinating with the resort's event services team.

Santa Maria Bay is shared between Montage guests and public-beach visitors. The bay is accessible by a public road, and snorkel-tour boats from Cabo San Lucas marina stop here during the day. The resort's private beach club is reserved for guests, but the swimmable area extends across the bay.

High-season pricing at Montage runs mid-December through Easter, with a smaller peak around US Thanksgiving week. For arrivals during these windows, book your private transfer 1-2 weeks ahead — premium SUV availability tightens during Christmas and New Year weeks especially.

On your departure run, allow 3 hours from Montage to SJD check-in for international flights. We monitor Tourist Corridor traffic in real time and recommend an adjusted pickup time the day before your departure based on current conditions.
