Private Shuttle from SJD Airport to Flora Farms

Flora Farms is a 25-acre working organic farm in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains above San José del Cabo. Founded by Patrick and Gloria Greene, the property includes a celebrated farm-to-table restaurant (Flora's Field Kitchen), a small grocery and bakery, a culinary cottage event space, and the Flora Farms Cottages — a small collection of guest cottages tucked among the orchards. It is one of the most popular destination-wedding venues in Los Cabos and a top reservation for couples and families staying on the Tourist Corridor or in downtown San José.

The farm sits inland from the highway in a small canyon called Las Animas Bajas. The setting feels worlds away from the coast — orange and lime trees, herb gardens, free-range chickens, and a small culinary garden where many of the menu ingredients are picked the morning of your meal. The dress code is casual-elegant, but the road in is unpaved and dusty, which is why most guests book a private transfer rather than drive themselves.

From SJD Airport, the route to Flora Farms is short and direct. Your chauffeur exits the airport onto Mexico Federal Highway 1 heading west toward San José del Cabo, then turns north on the signed road toward Las Animas Bajas. The last 1.2 miles is an unpaved dirt road maintained by the farm — passable in any vehicle but uncomfortable in compact rentals, especially after rain in July, August, or September.

Total drive time is 25 minutes from terminal to farm gate in normal traffic. Allow an extra 15 to 20 minutes during the late-afternoon corridor rush between 4:00 and 6:00 PM. Our chauffeurs know the exact turn from Highway 1 (it is easy to miss on the first try) and the speed for the dirt section that keeps the cabin smooth without raising dust.

For weddings at Flora Farms, we coordinate caravans of multiple SUVs and Sprinter vans from SJD or from corridor hotels. The narrow dirt road at the entrance is one of the reasons large coach buses are not used for Flora Farms weddings — vehicles in the 6 to 14 passenger range work best.

Every private SJD to Flora Farms shuttle is a Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Suburban, Mercedes Sprinter, or Toyota Hiace — depending on group size. All vehicles are late-model, with climate-zoned air conditioning, USB charging, bottled water, and child seats on request at no charge. Your chauffeur is fully bilingual (English and Spanish), licensed by the SCT (Mexico's federal transportation authority), and trained for the Flora Farms drop-off protocol.

The rate you book includes: the private vehicle, your bilingual chauffeur, real-time flight monitoring, tolls, Mexican IVA tax, and the standard driver gratuity. There are no extras at the gate. If you would like grocery stops at La Comer or Mega in San José before continuing to Flora Farms, mention it at booking and we add the stop free of charge.

For wedding parties, we also handle scheduled hourly waiting (for example, an after-dinner return run from Flora Farms to your hotel three or four hours later) — billed in flat blocks, never by surge.

Reserve your Flora Farms table well in advance — the Field Kitchen books out 4 to 8 weeks ahead during high season (December through April). Cabo time is one hour ahead of Pacific Standard Time during US daylight saving and matches Mountain Time year-round, which catches first-time visitors off guard with afternoon reservation times.

Bring light layers. The foothills above San José cool quickly after sunset, particularly from November through February, and the open-air dining and event spaces at Flora Farms are not fully heated. We recommend confirming weather with your chauffeur day-of, since the canyon micro-climate runs noticeably cooler than the coast.

Returning to your hotel after dinner, ride-share apps do not operate at Flora Farms (or anywhere in Los Cabos). Book your return transfer at the same time as your arrival — our system locks the return rate at booking, no surge pricing regardless of the hour.
