Route Guide

SJD Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 Car Service

Terminal 1 domestic, Terminal 2 international 4-minute walk to the pickup point From $65 USD*

Private SJD Airport Shuttle to SJD Terminal 1 and Terminal 2

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) has two terminals and they are not next to each other: Terminal 1 handles domestic flights and Terminal 2 handles international arrivals from the United States, Canada and Europe. A Cabo Black Shuttle car service at SJD works the same at both, a private vehicle reserved for your party with flight tracking and a driver holding a CABO BLACK sign, but the pickup point is different in each terminal. This page tells you which terminal your airline uses and exactly where to walk once you have your bags, using the same instructions printed on every Cabo Black voucher.

SJD Terminal 1 vs Terminal 2: Which Terminal Does Your Airline Use

Terminal 2 (international arrivals): American, United, Southwest, Alaska, WestJet, Air Canada, Frontier, Spirit, Sun Country, JetBlue, Copa, Condor, Air Transat, Sunwing and Flair. If you fly from the United States or Canada on any of these, your SJD car service pickup is at Terminal 2.

Terminal 1 (domestic arrivals): Volaris, VivaAerobus, Calafia, TAR and Magnicharters. Flights from Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tijuana and other Mexican cities on these airlines arrive at Terminal 1.

Aeroméxico, Delta, KLM and Mexicana use either terminal depending on the flight, because SJD assigns terminals per flight and not per airline. Check the terminal printed on your boarding pass or the T column on the SJD arrivals board; if you are not sure, add the airline and flight number to your reservation and your voucher shows the instructions for both terminals.

Car Service Pickup at SJD Terminal 2 (International Arrivals)

Check in at the Immigration desk. Retrieve your luggage from the carousel. Clear customs. Proceed to the Group Exit (even if you are not traveling as part of a group). You will walk through a room with many vendors (car rentals, vacation clubs, etc.); please avoid them and continue toward the exit.

Once outside the building, you will see a group of numbered umbrellas in front of you. Go to UMBRELLAS 3 & 4, CABO BLACK SHUTTLE. Our Airport Representative will be there holding a CABO BLACK sign and will introduce you to your assigned driver. The walk from baggage claim to Umbrellas 3 & 4 is about four minutes.

Car Service Pickup at SJD Terminal 1 (Domestic Arrivals)

After you collect your luggage, follow the signs to the GROUP EXIT (Salida de Grupos); use it even though you are traveling privately. Walk straight through the hallway with vendor booths; there is no need to stop with anyone, even if they offer to verify your reservation. Your driver is outside.

Once outside, look for our driver holding a CABO BLACK sign. At Terminal 1 there is no umbrella area: the driver meets you directly at the Group Exit door.

SJD Airport Car Service Rates from Either Terminal

The rate is the same from Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 and is per vehicle, not per seat, tolls included. Chevrolet Suburban, up to 5 passengers: San José del Cabo from $65 USD, Tourist Corridor from $75, Cabo San Lucas from $85, Pacific side (Pedregal, Pacifica) from $95, Todos Santos from $160, La Paz from $230. Cadillac Escalade from $110 to Cabo San Lucas, Toyota Hiace (up to 10) from $90, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter (up to 15) from $140.

A 16% Mexican IVA tax applies only when you pay by card; cash payments on arrival are not taxed. Driver gratuity is not included and a 10 to 15% tip is customary. The booking engine shows the final USD price for your exact hotel before you confirm. Round trips get a discount and hold the same vehicle type for the departure.

What the SJD Terminal Car Service Includes

Real-time tracking of your flight number, so an early or late arrival re-stages your driver automatically with no waiting fee. Meet and greet at the correct terminal with a CABO BLACK sign. A licensed bilingual chauffeur, a late-model insured vehicle with climate control and cold water. First child car seat included, additional seats $10 USD each at checkout. Optional grocery or liquor stop on the way. A refund on card payments when you cancel at least 24 hours before pickup, unlimited changes, and a written voucher with the terminal-specific instructions above.

Departure Car Service to SJD Terminal 1 or Terminal 2

For the return, the driver drops you at the departures curb of the terminal your airline uses, so you do not walk between terminals with luggage. Add the airline and flight number to the reservation and the voucher names the terminal. We recommend pickup 3 hours before an international departure from Cabo San Lucas, the Corridor or San José del Cabo, and 5 hours from Todos Santos, La Paz, Los Barriles or Costa Palmas. A car to SJD Terminal 2 from Cabo San Lucas starts at $85 USD per vehicle; from San José del Cabo, $65.
